The mechanic, in detail

Atomic group filling. Concurrent joins use a conditional UPDATE that only succeeds when the group still has capacity. No over-fill races, no double-charged customers.

Auto-extend on near-miss. Campaigns that reach ≥50% of target before deadline get one configurable time extension instead of failing. Recovers groups that would otherwise miss by a single buyer.

Auto-refund on group fail. When the timer hits zero without filling, WooGroupie iterates every paid participant and triggers a full refund through your payment gateway via the standard WooCommerce refund API. Errors are logged but never block the rest of the batch.

Feature deep-dive

WhatsApp-first invite UX — one-tap share button opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message: product name, savings amount, and a unique invite URL. Critical for Türkiye, MENA, LATAM, and Southeast Asia where WhatsApp is the default commerce channel.

Live participant counter — buyers see momentum build as the deadline approaches. The counter, progress bar, and countdown all update via 15-second AJAX polling without page reload.

Personal invite tracking — every buyer gets a unique invite link. The plugin tracks clicks and conversions per inviter, plus the inviter rewards engine automatically issues a WooCommerce coupon to the top inviter when a campaign succeeds.

Atomic auto-refund — the campaign state machine uses conditional UPDATE statements to guarantee the refund flow fires exactly once per failed campaign, even when multiple cron workers race.

Sidebar works in narrow widget areas. Banner is a thin notification-style strip. Minimal inherits your theme typography for stores that prefer a native look.

Every style supports the same data model — counter, progress bar, countdown, share row, trust strip — so switching is purely cosmetic. Need something custom? Override any style template by copying it to your-theme/woogroupie/single-product/styles/style-{key}.php.

Admin built for store owners, not developers

Vertical sub-navigation groups settings into Appearance, Defaults, Sharing & rewards, Emails, and Advanced. No more scrolling through one giant form.
